Description: I was on FB as usual, and I came across some of the groups I joined. I came across my old Elementary School, and I am actually amazed at all the memories I have there! All the teachers, students that I went through grade school knowing from Dutrow, songs, food, JUST SAY NO MARCHES!, no doors, female principals and how I used to do the music for the morning announcements. DUTROW ELEMENTARY, WHAT UP? DOLPHINS OF THE WEEK, STAND UP!

July 26, 2010: Mitch's Surprise!!!

Description: I made dinner for the fam tonight and I decided to make what I like to call "Mitch's Surprise" after my homeboy John "Tunafish Mitch" Taylor. Anywhoozle, I took wheat sub bread and placed a couple slices of 100% Provolone Cheese in it. Then I made normal tuna salad (mayo, relish and tuna) and placed it inside. A few red grapes for a little bit of sweet flavor and VOILA! Not as gourmet as I would have liked it, but all the same very delicious!

July 25, 2010: FAMILY.

Description: It's only around family that you hear about who's doing well, who's doing bad, who's married, who's divorced, who had a baby, and who's getting funeral arrangements. But the upside is that around family, you also remember the old times, strengthen the relationships with the ones you love or hate, and share the best moments with your bloodline. Today has been magnificent. First, we went to visit my grandfather, who has been in the Hospital for a while, but it really filled my heart with joy to see him. He is hanging in there, by God's grace. My Grandma ( a truly faithful woman) met us there, and we talked with her and spent time together. Then we went to my Aunt's house and talked with them for a time. I thank God that I got to see a lot of my family today, and that I also spent time with the ones I love the most.

July 23, 2010: AFTERGLOW!!!

Description: So, being that I made a pretty nice check this last period, I decided to treat myself to an accessory for my PS3. I decided to get a cheap controller, and I gotta say, I'm pretty happy with it. The AFTERGLOW controller feels better in my hands and keeps them from cramping up like they usually do when I use the regular controller. Plus, I'm a very visual person. I like to looks at my buttons before I tap them, and as you can see, it's got that covered.

July 22, 2010: EPIC FRIENDS!!!

Description: I was sitting at my computer, working on a few things and listening to JeMaul's Corner (tight show on blogtalk radio; Check it out Fridays at 9). All of a sudden, my ooVoo tells me I have a new message. Then it beeped like 17,273,672 more times, meaning there were more. I finally click on it to find this. I bust out laughing!!! Sherwood is sooooooooo random! I love having random friends!!! It's the best!

July 21, 2010: GOURMET SKIZZILS!

Description: Ya'll know your boy is a gourmet chef, right? Anyways, I decided to name this heck of an experiment "Beethoven's January7th", after both my favorite composition and a special person's birthday! First off, I washed off the Organic Baby Spinach and gave a little olive oil, salt and pepper. Then I added some fresh red grapes and mandarin oranges. Next I put in some grilled chicken, heated up for taste. To top it off, I added a dollop of fruit cream dip. I think next time I'll come up with a lemon juice vinaigrette instead. I got three yes's and one no, so in my book, that's a yes. I think from now on, I'll blog about my gourmet creations. BTW, all this stuff can be found at Sam's Club!

July 20, 2010: PEYTON!

Description: This guy I work with, Chad Groves, came into Sam's today with his daughter Peyton! You're looking at one of the most bubbly, intelligent children I've ever met. She was so cute, how she hi-fived me and giggled and smiled the whole time Chad and I were talking. I don't get it, though. Chad's the biggest loser I know, yet he somehow managed to raise a cute, enthusiastic child! She must get her brains and looks from her mother's side. And what did she get from Chad? A last name. Only problem is, he has taught her to call me Meecah, one of my pet peeves! Anyway, it's children like her that give me hope that the next generation has a future!

There has been many a time in the past 40 days that I have pulled empty wooden pallets off of the floor, so that no members would trip or fall on them. I also crushed some scallops and barbecue chicken, NOICE!

With doing outreach to surrounding colleges, BT.COM gets many college students to attend. Mike here plays for Hampton's football team and started coming Sunday after Sunday, and is even involved in ministry. I'm proud of him because he juggles not only football and his job with summer camps, but that he also helps out with ministry events. I'm super cool with him, andI hope to become better friends with him in the near future.

Description: My Dad invited neighbors to a fishing clinic where hundreds of adults and kids go to a bridge and learn to fish. On the back of the event shirts are the sponsors, and it was neat because the company my Dad is starting is featured as one. The Family Council is an initiative created to strengthen the bond in families and mend broken ties within the community. GO DADDY!

July 6, 2010: "Supporting our deployed sons and daughters."

Description: A few days ago, a guy was walking through my store, with a flatbed full of all types of food and drinks. Just to make conversation, I jokingly asked " so where is the party so I can come?" He told me that every month he sends boxes of food and drink to a military unit overseas. I was inspired by the fact that he told me, you set up an account on this website, and they assign you a unit. He said that I didn't necessarily have to send them food, but I could write them letters. Bump that. I want to support them as much as possible. They're fighting for my freedom, so the least I can do is send them a Gatorade that says "thanks". I think in the near future I might set aside a little money to give back to those on the forefront. What do you think?
